Finding Christ

First of all I'd like to welcome you to my blog, detailing my life as a young adult christian in 21st century Britain. Unlike some christians I wasn't born into Christian family. I was however christened as a baby and believed in God for most of my young life, until I hit GCSE R.E where I established that I was not a christian as I once thought I was. I was in fact an agnostic, a non christian. For a few years I had very mixed religious beliefs but this year my life changed forever. I met my now ex partner at Uni through a friend, we talked, one thing led to another and we became more than just friends. Then one night he confided in me he was (and still is) a christian. At the time it didn't bother me, but one sunday whilst sitting alone in 'Costa Coffee' I began to ponder my eclectic religious beliefs and for a few days it bothered me. I talked it out with my boyfriend, who sat me down with his housemate (also a christian) and perhaps the deepest discussion I have ever experienced. Several minutes, and a 'leap of faith' later I became a christian. Since then I haven't looked back and am now reading the word of the lord, attending church services and praying on a nightly basis. That's pretty much it so far but I still have an amazing journey ahead of me as I grow and develop as Christian.
